★ WEEK TWO: FORWARD MOVEMENT ★

[A lot has happened in a few short days.

Arche has grown a great deal from her interactions with the assembled agents of the facility; thanks to their influence, her chamber has taken on a few new additions, including a rapidly filling curio cabinet and, more recently, an orange and black Maine Coon kitten has come to stay in the facility as well. Thanks to Ginti's advice, he is no longer confined to his transparent tank in Arche's Chamber; in fact, you may see him wandering around during the week. Please be kind to the local wildlife!

On a more serious note, Arche has located one of her missing memory cores, which comes with some...vaguely unsettling information surrounding it. But, since the general consensus seemed to be "yes, we'll help", she is now hard at work securing the gateway to the pocket dimension; if asked, she will approximate that it will take her until late Thursday night to get everything up to scratch.

In the meantime, she's helpfully provided some recommendations for people to work on this week, in preparation for this week. If you need something to think about, you might try working on one of those?

[ Hm. Let's snoop around to see where they might be, then. Inside one of the storage cabinets, maybe? ]

[To the storage cabinets we go! There's quite a lot of supplies in here, from clay to charcoals to paint, and all the requisite tools for crafting with them.

Though there are still no missing sketchbooks, what Chie might notice is that the supplies of modeling clay are unusually well-stocked; there are quite a few different brands (none of which she'll recognize by name, sadly, but the logos differ from type to type) in a well-sorted fashion, all fully stocked.

There also doesn't seem to be nearly the amount of variation and variety among the other supplies; the paint, for example, all seems to be of the same brand, as do the colored pencils and charcoals.]

[ Taking a closer look, she does notice that the modeling clay supplies are rather well-stocked and varied in comparison to the other things in there. It's a little weird, but she supposes that some people really like to work with clay.

Are the clays the kind you'd bake? Because if the art room has a kiln it might be worth investigating. ]

[They are! And there is indeed a kiln in the room, fancy that.]

[ Wow, I completely forgot about that somehow. Let's open the thing and see if there's anything inside. Maybe someone left one of their creations in it and didn't take it out. ]

[And here we have a kiln! It's big, it's got a heat source beneath it, it smells distinctly of clay. It's definitely been used before, too, since there's evidence of wet clay marks and the occasional dried chip here and there.

Most of the chips are small, but there might be a bigger one or two near the back; she'll have to practically climb inside the thing to get at them, though.]

[ Given that Chie sees no issue in having to dig through blood, she'll also have no issues with practically having to climb inside. So she'll do exactly that to check if there's anything near the back. ]

[With a little sifting around, she'll eventually happen across one decent-sized broken chip of clay (and be careful, it's sharp) that's a little different from the rest: this one has a looping shape etched into it, and inside that shape, what looks like a partial letter B.]

[ Chie nearly ends up cutting herself on it, but she is now +1 mysterious chip of clay which she puts in her bag for safekeeping after taking a closer look. She closes the kiln door, pleased with what she found, and then looks around - those missing sketchpads that weren't in the storage cabinet, what would be a good place to put them? ]

[After a bit of looking, she'll eventually discover that there are no other sketchpads to be found; presumably, the people who used them took the pads with them when they left.

She's definitely found a few signs that other people have been here before her, though!]
