★ WEEK TWO: FORWARD MOVEMENT ★

[A lot has happened in a few short days.

Arche has grown a great deal from her interactions with the assembled agents of the facility; thanks to their influence, her chamber has taken on a few new additions, including a rapidly filling curio cabinet and, more recently, an orange and black Maine Coon kitten has come to stay in the facility as well. Thanks to Ginti's advice, he is no longer confined to his transparent tank in Arche's Chamber; in fact, you may see him wandering around during the week. Please be kind to the local wildlife!

On a more serious note, Arche has located one of her missing memory cores, which comes with some...vaguely unsettling information surrounding it. But, since the general consensus seemed to be "yes, we'll help", she is now hard at work securing the gateway to the pocket dimension; if asked, she will approximate that it will take her until late Thursday night to get everything up to scratch.

In the meantime, she's helpfully provided some recommendations for people to work on this week, in preparation for this week. If you need something to think about, you might try working on one of those?

We're looking for clues in the second half!

[For the first part of the day NiGHTS would be found in the flitting in and out of the library. As Arche had suggested, they were thinking about how to work on group goals better.

They've seen a few people get friendly with the kitty prowling around, so that might be a good place to start? And what would be the best way to interact with the cute kitten, besides petting it.

The answer was obvious as it was simple.

Build a makeshift cat agility source from the books in the library and other rooms.

Whether or not you saw them in the library or dragging supplies from another room, the dream jester would greet you with a bright smile.]

[Later on, after their work was completed and a kitten was put through it's adorable paces, NiGHTS made their way to the music room. They liked it well enough, even if they thought it and the art room felt off.]

[And here we are in the music room! What's on the agenda for today, NiGHTS?

Let's start with what sort of clues are we looking for; what kind of thing is NiGHTS trying to discover or find?]

[In general NiGHTS is taking stock of what's actually in the room. Sheet music, karaoke songs, if they have enough cowbells.

But the main thing they are checking out right now, is how in tune the instruments actually are.]

[Don't be silly; you can never have enough cowbell.

How is NiGHTS checking to see if they're in tune? By ear, or with a tuner, or in some other fashion?]

[By ear! Unless there's a tuner in the room.

And to clarify, they are also checking for any keys of the piano that do not produce a sound.]

[Seems like everything is generally in tune! If NiGHTS has perfect pitch, there'll be more confirmation than that, but generally speaking all of the notes are where they ought to be.

And all of the piano keys work!]

[Tobias happens to catch NiGHTS as they are nicking books from the library and it certainly does catch his attention. He turns halfway on the bookshelf serving as his current perch when called out to, blinking.]

< Hey. That's...a lot of books. Are you going to read all of those? >

[Oh that was an interesting sensation. Weirder things have happened here and in the dream world, it only took a bit for NiGHTS to remember what Ginti and robo girl told arche about how they communicated in the beginning.]

Mmm not really! I'm setting up a course for the cat to play in!

[thermals]

[That's right, they did have a cat now, didn't they...he hadn't seen much of it, though he assumed it was probably due to the fact that a small kitten wouldn't appreciate being followed by a predatory bird.]

< Oh. I guess the kitten will probably like that. Looks like you guys have been playing with it all week. >

Yeah. It's pretty cute!

[A beat.]

Hey, do you need stuff around the complex to perch on?

[thermals]

< I do, yeah. I mean, anything is better than the floor. >

[redideya]

Any room in particular that you need one soon?

[thermals]

< I'm in the lounge a lot, and I don't know how much everyone likes me gouging up the coffee tables. So if I had to say anywhere, it would be there. >

Gotcha. I'll see if I can find [Or break something apart in the art room and reconfigure it.] something for you then!

[Please don't cause too much collateral on his behalf...]

< Thanks. I guess I could ask Arche for some actual perches here and there, but there's no real reason to bother her with that. >

[It's not like this library is going to miss a bookshelf or two.]

Hmm why not? I doubt she would mind that much. It'll help you out too.

< If it gets to be a problem, I probably will. Most rooms have at least something that works for me to rest on, though. >

Oh that's good!

[They are setting up a small ramp thing, with all the books.]

How much of an issue is flying for you in here?

< It's pretty tough. There's no lift in here, no wind or anything, so I have to work to stay up. The hallways are real narrow, too. >

[They know that feel man.]

Ouch, wonder if Arche could get you a mobile platform you can push with your tiny talons.

< Naaah, that would probably be more trouble than it's worth. >

[Damn that would of been entertaining.]

Oh, I never asked your name did I?

[The bird falters for a moment. He hadn't really been giving his name to anyone, but now...he really had no reason to keep it from the rest of them. Ginti knew now, at least.]

< Everybody's been calling me Wings lately, though. That's fine too. >
