★ WEEK TWO: FORWARD MOVEMENT ★

[A lot has happened in a few short days.

Arche has grown a great deal from her interactions with the assembled agents of the facility; thanks to their influence, her chamber has taken on a few new additions, including a rapidly filling curio cabinet and, more recently, an orange and black Maine Coon kitten has come to stay in the facility as well. Thanks to Ginti's advice, he is no longer confined to his transparent tank in Arche's Chamber; in fact, you may see him wandering around during the week. Please be kind to the local wildlife!

On a more serious note, Arche has located one of her missing memory cores, which comes with some...vaguely unsettling information surrounding it. But, since the general consensus seemed to be "yes, we'll help", she is now hard at work securing the gateway to the pocket dimension; if asked, she will approximate that it will take her until late Thursday night to get everything up to scratch.

In the meantime, she's helpfully provided some recommendations for people to work on this week, in preparation for this week. If you need something to think about, you might try working on one of those?

[If Jade's mood suddenly darkened as fast as a rolling blackout, it was probably due to his most recent conversation with Arche regarding his own magic.]

[Worse yet, he couldn't actually come up with a reason for Yosuke not to ask. Grudgingly, he had to admit it was a good idea to take inventory of the group's skills.]

Come'on, I already told you all I could do! I mean, with my magic anyways. It's not that bad a question.

I'm a colonel in good standing with the Malkuth military. I fully intend to take control of all strategic aspects of this mission at the first possible opportunity.

Well, how are we supposed to follow you if we don't know your credentials?

I just told you my credentials. Besides, I could tell you just about anything about my background and there's no way you could possibly confirm it.

Okay smartass. I would think you'd at least want us to, ya know, succeed. So lying won't really help there.

I just think it's foolish of you to take everything at face value in case not everyone is so honest.

It's not like I have anyway to check without making people prove their skills.

Of course. I never said that the question shouldn't be asked, only that the answers shouldn't be assumed to be the absolute truth.
