★ EXPLORATION OF A NEW WORLD ★
[Following a productive — (productive? convincing it to to a brief stint identifying as a redheaded catgirl probably constitutes being productive, sure) — first meeting with Arche, the assembled members of the Agency are now left largely to their own devices, a little bit older and a little bit wiser, and in all likelihood probably a fair amount more confused than they were before.
After interacting with Arche, the flickering lights have all but ceased, presumably because Arche has proceeded to start...working on that, intent on doing what she can to make the facility a little more pleasant and liveable than it was before.
Following the various discussions, at least one thing seems apparent: the resident AI is having some memory loss, and is currently hard at work attempting to remedy that by searching for its missing memory cores in...well, however it is that AIs do that sort of thing, it's complicated and she probably wouldn't bore you with the specifics even if you asked.
So. That leaves a facility at your fingertips, and about eleven other people that you're apparently going to be dorm-mates with for at least the foreseeable future. Good luck with that?]
THURSDAY | FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[OOC: And here is your last log for the week; as of now we're switching over to weekly sub-headered logs like this until investigations begin next week. For the time being, if you want to talk to Arche during the week, please use the top-level comment provided and specify the circumstances in your tag if need be!
Arche's information will be updated shortly to reflect the new changes she's undergone!]

And, well. Color him curious.]
< You seem busy. >
[...he's still wearing his little thought speak reading top hat and everything, it seems.]

It passes the time. Not much else to do for now, right?
no subject
[Or not much, at least. He tightens his grip on the easel he's perched on, adjusting his wings so they'll lay more comfortably against his back.]
< Making something particular, or just passing time? >
no subject
[That's...helpful, Ginti.]
We'll see what it turns out to be when I'm done with it. Right now it's something to focus do that isn't thinking about all of this.

[Like that says pretty much everything.]
Say whatever you want about Arche, but she doesn't seem to want us to be upset. It'd be pretty easy to make us all miserable, right? But she's not doing that. She gives us whatever we want, we can go wherever.
From the sound of it she has to keep you guys alive so we can do our job, but she doesn't have to be nice about it.

[He has his reasons for being so on edge about this, no matter how nice the AI is being to them.
...not to mention he wasn't very pleased with being tucked in, but he's probably the only one who shares that opinion.]

If you want to go complain because it's not torturing us enough, you be my guest - but if you open that particular door, don't be all surprised when it enters.

I'm going to keep looking around in a bit. I haven't really found anything worth bringing up, but I haven't checked out the whole place yet either. >
no subject
[He's quiet for a moment longer before he speaks up again; his attention is focused on his carving even when he does.]
...Hey, Taka. D'you look like that all the time, or is it just what you're choosing to look like now?
no subject
< I usually look like this. ...why? >
no subject
You don't act like an animal.
no subject
< I usually look like this...but not always. So you're...sortof right. >
no subject
That does get a pause out of him, though he's smirking a bit when he continues.]
I'm not gonna say anything to anybody.
no subject
[It's not surprising that Ginti figured that out, though. You don't usually run into birds who act just like people do.
Maybe if he's lucky he won't turn up with a starving Yeerk abandoning ship in the next couple days.]

Everybody's got secrets, it's none of my business what you do with 'em. Unless you know someone around here that can rip them out of my head - and I know a guy, but he's not here - it's not like I care enough to tell.
But you think what you want.
no subject
< Mm...just...have to be careful. That's all.
...can I ask you something, though? >

Otherwise...water's kind of my thing in general. If you're going to say you expected me to like fire more, save it, because it's not original.

Guess Arche gave us these names to fit in with the agent motif. >

At this point I don't know if she knows what she's doing.
no subject
< I think it's safe to say she doesn't. If somebody really did move those cores to a place they aren't supposed to be, they did a good job of it. It doesn't sound like she really knows where to even start looking, either. >
